Yerevan State Medical University (YSMU) has a long and respected history in medical education. It began in 1920 as a medical faculty and later became an independent medical university in 1930. Today, it functions as a government medical university under the Ministry of Education and Science of Armenia.
The university is listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools and is recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO). Its medical degree is accepted in many countries, including India, where graduates can appear for licensing exams as per National Medical Commission (NMC) guidelines.

What are the Eligibility requirements to Join Yerevan State Medical University (YSMU)?
Eligibility Marks Required: – The applicant must have completed their 10+2 (senior secondary education) with at least 50% (45% for candidates from reserved categories) marks in PCB from a recognized board. |
The applicant must be at least 17 years old by December 31st of the admission year. |
Admission: – Admission will be granted based on the scores achieved in the entrance examination. |

– Total Duration 6 years (5 years academics + 1 year internship)

– Degree Awarded MD (equivalent to MBBS)
