Job Description
Primary duties and responsibilities,
Familiar in SEC/NG specifications, Network topology and LAN/WAN design, IP address planning, IP configuration files, network design specifications, Ability to link the customer requests to hardware, services and service development, Participate in Design Review Meetings, Vendor Meetings and lead technical workshops. Act as Technical Authority on the subject. Provide calculation, engineering and design/drawings for telecom projects involving HVE, microwave communication, channel banks, SONET multiplexer, tele protection, fiber cable entrance, fiber optic networks, Power Line Carrier, -48 VDC Power systems, and IP/MPLS networks, etc. Prepare Bill of Materials and coordinating staging and testing of equipment racks Prepare test plans and commissioning documents for the evaluation and testing of various telecom equipment. Prepare technical specifications for the installation of telecommunication infrastructure. Coordinate and support all installation and commissioning activities for the successful implementation of the design infrastructure. Coordinate with other disciplines such as Transmission, Civil, Electrical, and SCADA to fulfil desired substation and system function. Provide study reports outlining alternatives, cost estimates and recommend solutions for various telecommunication requirements. Develop specification and scope of work for material/services tendering process and conduct Technical Bid Analysis, review vendor documents. Good exposure to equipment installation practices, site construction concerns and mitigation.

Good knowledge in IP based technologies & protocols such as TCP/IP, Routing Protocols like OSPF, BGP, RIP, IS – IS, MPLS, Traffic Engineering, QoS.
Computer skills with MS Windows XP, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Effective communication and impromptu problem-solving skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a cost-effective and timely basis.
Understanding and skill in assessing a customer’s requirements/needs in the field.
