About the Job Role:
OT Technician, or Operating Room Technician, is a healthcare professional who assists in surgical procedures. Assist in cleaning and restocking the operating room after surgery, including disposing of biohazardous materials.
They are responsible for preparing the operating room and ensuring that all necessary instruments and supplies are sterile and ready for use and providing support to the surgical team during operations. OT Technician ensure that sterile techniques are followed and that the surgical area remains free from contamination.
Job Responsibilities:
- Set up and organize the surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies needed for the procedure.
- Assist in preparing patients for surgery, which may include positioning, draping, and ensuring comfort.
- Provide support to surgeons and nurses by passing instruments, holding retractors, and maintaining a clear surgical field.
