Job Description

We urgently required Elevator Technician for our client Bell Elevator Company in UAE.

Experience – Min 2 years

Salary Range – AED 1400 to AED 2500 (Depends on Experience & Qualification)

Role and Responsibilities:

  1. Installation and Maintenance: Install, repair, and maintain elevators, escalators, and other vertical transportation systems according to blueprints, specifications, and safety codes. This includes assembling elevator components, wiring electrical systems, and testing equipment to ensure proper functionality.
  2. Troubleshooting: Diagnose malfunctions in elevator systems by inspecting components, testing electrical circuits, and analyzing data from diagnostic tools. Identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  3. Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as lubricating moving parts, adjusting control systems, and replacing worn-out components, to prevent breakdowns and prolong the lifespan of elevator equipment. Follow maintenance schedules and checklists to ensure compliance with manufacturer recommendations and regulatory requirements.
  4. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations to ensure the safe operation of elevators and escalators. Inspect equipment for safety hazards, such as faulty wiring, loose bolts, or worn-out components, and take corrective actions to mitigate risks and maintain compliance with safety standards.
  5. Emergency Repairs: Respond to service calls and emergency repair requests to address elevator breakdowns and malfunctions. Troubleshoot issues on-site, repair or replace damaged parts, and restore elevator functionality as quickly and efficiently as possible to minimize downtime and inconvenience to building occupants.
  6. Customer Service: Interact with building owners, property managers, and occupants to address their concerns, provide updates on maintenance and repair activities, and ensure customer satisfaction. Communicate effectively and professionally with clients to build positive relationships and uphold the reputation of the elevator service company.
  7. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repair work, and equipment inspections. Document findings, recommendations, and completed tasks in service reports, work orders, and maintenance logs to track the history of elevator systems and facilitate future maintenance and troubleshooting efforts.
  8. Training and Development: Stay updated on industry advancements, technological innovations, and safety regulations through training programs, workshops, and professional development opportunities. Continuously improve technical skills and knowledge to enhance performance and provide high-quality service to customers.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a formal apprenticeship program or vocational training in elevator mechanics.
  • Certification or licensure as an elevator technician, where required by local regulations.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and computerized elevator controls.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to industry standards and best practices.
