Job Responsibilities:
✔️ Receive, sort and decontaminate surgical instruments, equipment and reusable medical devices using approved techniques and equipment.
✔️ Operate autoclaves and other sterilization machines (steam, ETO, plasma, etc.) to ensure items are sterilized according to protocols.
✔️ Inspect instruments for damage, cleanliness and functionality assemble trays and packs accurately as per surgical or procedural requirements.
✔️ Track sterile and non sterile equipment and supplies report shortages or malfunctions ensure proper storage and labeling.
✔️ Follow all hospital infection control policies, sterilization standards (e.g. AAMI, ISO) and health & safety regulations.
✔️ Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles, equipment maintenance, biological indicators and load logs.
